Free price comparison & menu costing for hospitality
Are you paying a fair price for food and drinks?
Compare supplier prices. Turn your website’s menu into estimated plate and pour costs.
Upload an invoice, inventory list, or item list with prices. Counter Intelligence compares what you pay with other suppliers in your area and relevant USDA market benchmarks.
It also reads your website’s menu and uses AI to estimate what your dishes and drinks cost to make. No recipes to enter first.

No invoices handy? Start with your website.
Or provide your business URL and we’ll prepare a report from your menu only. Your website and your email are all we need to start the scan.
We read the menu on your site and estimate what your dishes cost to make, then email your report. Add invoices later any time for the price comparison.

What your review includes
-
Compare the vendors you already use
See who charges more for the same products, with prices compared on the same unit—not mismatched case sizes.
-
Check other suppliers and market benchmarks
See available food and beverage prices from suppliers in your area, alongside relevant USDA benchmarks for food ingredients.
-
Get a first draft of your menu costs
Our AI reads the menu on your website, estimates ingredients and portions, and uses your purchasing data to build estimated plate and pour costs. A starting point you can review and refine to match how you prepare each item.
Step 2
Comparison progress
Reading purchasing files
Keep this page open to watch your results arrive. If you close it while a comparison is running, reopening it picks up where it left off.

How to read this report
Your Purchase is an actual invoice price. Best imported is a distinct, eligible invoice record with its own vendor and date. Best Alt Option is a public listing; its product specification, availability and fulfillment may differ. A lower unit rate is not a promise of savings.
USDA describes a market stage, such as terminal wholesale, manufacturer sales or grocery advertisements. It does not report your restaurant’s delivered cost. Related commodities are context only.
* Projected Buyer Price is an estimate, not a supplier quote or a landed-cost calculation. For direct compatible references, the report multiplies the USDA low by the category’s low uplift and the USDA high by its high uplift: local-terminal produce +10–35%; shipping-point produce +25–70%; boxed beef, pork or lamb FOB plant +15–40%; chicken FOB plant +20–45%; local cartoned eggs delivered store door +5–30%; and matching commercial dairy +15–40%. Fluid cream first converts a verified regional USDA $/lb-butterfat quote to estimated bulk $/qt from the item’s supported fat basis and USDA cream weight, then applies the +15–40% dairy uplift. That broad uplift does not separately observe processing or packaging, so the cream result is low confidence. Materially different products show USDA commodity reference only, except the explicitly modeled European-style butter conversion. Estimates never enter savings or ordering.
Prices use common physical units: pounds, quarts, liters, dozens or each where supported. Unit-rate gaps, same-quantity estimates, and the cost of buying whole packages answer different questions. Whole-package cost includes package rounding and shows extra quantity; unstated shipping, fees, tax, membership, minimums and account terms can change what you pay.
Invoice dates date a purchase; listing dates date a price check; USDA dates date the reported market. Location unverified, Out of stock, Stale quote and Different spec remain qualifications of the displayed price. Missing, not queried and not covered sources are gaps, never savings. Historical v1 assumptions stay in evidence only. Opening details does not run a search.
Prices are compared using a shared unit such as per pound, per gallon, or per each. Package costs can differ because package sizes differ. Shipping, fees, tax, membership, minimums, and account terms remain separate unless explicitly known. Nothing is ordered.
